The Board of Directors is a voluntary group of between 5 and 11 parents or guardians who meet on a monthly (or as needed) basis to discuss issues related to the governance, policy and strategic direction of the Centre. Members are elected to serve a one-year term and can maintain a position on the Board for a maximum of 6 years. The Board has a staff liaison position and the following standing committees: Finance, Executive, Fundraising and Policy. BBE also has a few ad hoc committees based on the current needs of the centre.
Special privileges are not granted to Board Member and all policies and procedures remain the same for Board members as all other parent members.
